This July, we’re not just marking another year in business—we’re celebrating a defining chapter in our company’s history: the anniversary of our rebrand and the enduring legacy of who we are.
Twelve months ago, we transitioned from Med-Lab to Centella—a name that reflects our growth, our vision for the future, and our enduring commitment to the healthcare community. This rebrand wasn’t just a change in name or logo. It was a statement of purpose: that while we honor our roots, we are always evolving to better serve our customers, our partners, and our people.
From a Family Business to a Business of Families
Centella’s story began decades ago as a small, family-owned operation grounded in integrity, technical expertise, and customer-first values. As Med-Lab, we earned the trust of hospitals and healthcare providers by delivering unmatched service and deep-rooted support for imaging equipment across South Florida.
That foundation hasn’t changed—it’s grown stronger. Today, Centella stands as a thriving, multi-generational company made up of families, mentors, and innovators. Our name may be new, but our mission is deeply familiar: catalyze innovative care through unmatched expertise and service.
A Year of Milestones
The first year as Centella has been nothing short of incredible. Some of the highlights include:
- A New Service Line Added: We officially launched our Healthcare Technology Solutions (HTS) service line, meeting customers where they are, servicing imaging devices across OEMs, as well as providing comprehensive solutions beyond medical imaging.
- Events to Celebrate Our Legacy, Together: Our rebrand journey provided us several opportunities to come together as a team and with our customers to celebrate this moment and new era for our company. From our Marlins park company picnic, to several customer-focused stops along our rebrand tour, culminating in a special night at the Frost Science Museum, our new identity and future as Centella has been celebrated and given the spotlight it deserves.
- Operational Growth: We’ve expanded our sales coverage territory, added new team members across departments, and continue to strengthen our capabilities to better support our growing customer base.
